Juneau has world class sea kayaking, the hiking in the area is awesome, and going on the glacier is about as exciting as it gets. You could do more of the same - more kayaking, more hiking, etc. Depending on your interests and your budget, you could look into a fishing charter or whale watching tour, although you may see whales while kayaking depending on where you go. You can have a variety of experiences just going out on the different trails. A little book that I recommend is 90 Short Walks Around Juneau by Mary Lou King, sold at local book stores and at Foggy Mountain Shop, the BEST local outdoor recreation shop downtown (and my former business!). Have a great trip and safe travels.Alaska Classichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16268049337328983595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7863364835511093251.post-77136866740165911242014-07-30T15:18:17.146-08:002014-07-30T15:18:17.146-08:00So I just stumbled across your blog because I was ...So I just stumbled across your blog because I was looking at photos of Alaska trying to see what people wear there during the warmer months. My girlfriend and I will be visiting Juneau for the very first time from August 14th - 19th and we are very excited about it! We are going kayaking on the Tongass Coast, doing some hiking, and going out on the Mendenhall Glacier. Is there anything else you would recommend that we do while we are there??

-Ricky
www.CattailDown.comRickyhttp://www.amodernvillain.comnoreply@blogger.com
